Many thanks to all the lovely people who commented on my thread from Wednesday. I thought I would update you. I went out for Week 7 run 2 today with your advice in mind and it was so much better! I ate a bowl of porridge an hour and a half before I went out this morning so my energy level would be higher. I also drank plenty so I was properly hydrated. On the run I consciously tried to go as slow as I could while still retaining a semblance of running - a slow jog was all I did. And it was fab! I really enjoyed it and felt tired but very happy afterwards. Such a contrast with the last few runs.
A big thank you to all the people who advised me - it really paid off. From dreading going out I'm really looking forward to the next outing. Hurrah!

Brilliant news - I have graduated but I still run a lot slower than most - but I tend to think speed will come with time - just do what you feel is right.
Great news! So pleased for you. Stamina is so much more important to start with - speed can come later. Looking forwards to seeing you with a graduate badge soon!
