Week 5 sadface

Well it was going great! I didn't manage the w5r3 this morning though. I'm trying not to be too disappointed though. The reasons I think are:

1. ToM. Cramps. Ouch! Walking usually helps but it was a proper distraction.

2. I had to practically run to pick up my car from its MOT yesterday as I couldn't get away from work, so didn't get a real rest day.

3. Nasty cold and I could barely breathe through my nose!

I've decided to redo the whole of week 5 rather than go straight back to w5r3. Oh well, onwards and upwards! Hope it's going well for you all!

Don't worry Sophster, that sounds like a lot of stuff to deal with. Everyone has bad runs (but they are better than no runs). You'll be fine next time just take it easy, go slow, and slower on the W5R3. Good luck

Well done you for staying so positive - it is a huge mental thing this running lark and you obviously had had a bad week - and the cold wouldn't help. Good luck next time - and don't forget how far you've come - so many people find it tough but then succeed. I'll look out for your next post saying you've done it. Trust Laura - she knows you're ready.

That's a setback that we blokes don't have to deal with (thank goodness)! I'm sure you'll do much better when you are rid of the ...... snuffles. Good luck.

Good for you! And, I think, a good plan! Keep us posted on your progress!

Don't feel bad for a second. That was the first run I didn't finish as well. It just makes it all the sweeter when you do. Happy running.

You'll do it next time, don't be disheartened. Try again when you're feeling better and you'll be so chuffed. Let us know!

I would have few rest days get, let your body recover from the cold and give it another. We have all been there and the important thing is you sound like you have the right attitude to give it another go.

put that one down to experience and don't sweat it, many things can impact a run , never mind the other 2 but running with a bug ,very hard , take some time to recover and then go back out and do week5/3 again , you will be just fine , as every one says here slow and steady and slower still :D

There are some horrible colds about, without everything else you had to deal with. You'll do it next time xx

Well done for giving it a try but don't be down. You should be proud you did it with a cold. Keep going though. You can do it. Be positive 😀
