New Recruits

Just engaged two neighbours in the programme - both said they had been thinking about doing something now that age was knocking at their doors. One is already running from telelgraph pole to telegraph pole - I told her to give that up and follow Laura. The other one said she's going to start it this afternoon. Inspirational or what. Both wanted to improve their fitness and have some me time.

  • Fabulous stuff Buffy. You deserve ambassadorial status for c25k for getting 2 new recruits. Trouble is, ambassadors have to be referred to as 'Your Excellency', so do you think you'd be prepared to slum it with the rest of us now, Your Excellency? ;)

  • Oh, I didn't know that! I think I should wait to see if they really do start .... and then finish.

  • Well done Your Excellency! My employers have just put a piece about me on our company intranet - (how embarrassing!) but I'm hoping to convert a few too!

  • I think that's fantastic. You're going to be a huge inspiration. Do the company have a running club? What have your started!

  • Oh no, not two 'Your Excellencies' on the forum. We'll be too busy bowing to run! ;)

  • Oh that is great! You've obviously given them food for thought, well done! X :-)

  • Me too! I'm in the company mag :) I even had one lady saying she's gonna start running again. But she can already run, she's done some 10ks, so won't be doing c25k. She will be running though which is the main thing.

  • Fabulous. What a high we're all on! Buzzing.

  • Well done Buffy it's always good to recruit new would be runners. You must have inspired them, brilliant! X :-)

  • Well done Buffy, let's hope they are as successful as their inspiration!
