Been waiting a bit for these to arrive and then for a chance to take them out for a not-too-long run just in case. And they are excellent! Totally comfy on both trail & short section of road as well as across the sports ground. And if I can believe the tech (which is not fancy) they turned in a 7:15km in between some slower ones. π Well, if true that amounts to a lightning pace for this tortoise. We shall see if it can be repeated. π€ Anyway, a very happy π’ here just now.
Lovely, lovely New Shoes!: Been waiting a bit... - Couch to 5K
Lovely, lovely New Shoes!
Great running and brilliant, new shoes. Hope you enjoy many more runs in them ππ
Great shoe's Granspeed, almost identical to mine. π π
Welcome to the Brooks family!! Enjoy ππ»ππ»π
PS: I missed your amazing marathon achievement post. Wow! Excellent. Wish I thought it was the Brooks shoes.... π€£π€£
Aw thank you! It was Saucony trail shoes! But the Brooks got me up to that point! I'm on my second pair of Brooks, about to renew for a 3rd too! I love them, so comfy! ππ»π
Do you know if brooks do a trainer for trail and road running just wondering mine are brooks ghost 11 and my park run itβs 30% trail and 70% pavement and I absolutely love my brooks and they wonβt be my last pair either ππ
The Cascadia is classed as trail... but it really depends on your trails. Your Ghosts will be fine on grass, well packed dirt and gravel, lumpy stone etc. You might struggle with thick mud. I use my Vapor 4 (similar to ghost sole) on some mixed terrain too.
The cascadia look good for mud and steep grass slopes. Hard to tell how the lugs would be on slippery stone, chalk or flint, really need to get hands on for that.
I prefer Saucony as where I am I have a lot of chalk (very slippery when wet) flint and sharp stone as well as thick mud in winter.
Thank you for the help I do use my brooks on the trail fine when itβs dry but if it rained itβs quite muddy it doesnβt slow me down to much as itβs only a small part of the trail that gets muddy the other part is stone path ππ
If the Ghosts work, stick with them, if you start slipping about on the mud in winter maybe check out the Cascadia for "winter" shoes ππ»π

Yey another in the new Brooks club! ππββοΈπββοΈπ
Nice trainers I do like them brooks as well you canβt go wrong with them they are the comfiest and bouncy trainers in my honest opinion mine are brooks ghost 11 are yours neutral or support trainers nice colour to ππ
Theyβre Adrenalin 19s, which have some support. π
Are they right I might have a look at them next time I need a new pair of brooks which I hope mine will last for quite a long time as I only got them early June ππ
I was advised they would be good for my mixed surface running in the New Forest area - not really trail shoes, but supportive & fairly grippy. Weβll see... π
Lovely colour Granspeed. My GTS18s were like that but the GTS19 wides come in a limited range so I went for the black and coral. They worked for me in the Forest on Sunday so you should be ok for your lovely runs.
We are shoe twins! πββοΈπββοΈ They are very comfy arenβt they π
Fab shoes! It really does help that they are a beautiful colour, my sauconys which I love are blue, and I'm convinced the gorgeousness makes me go faster π
My favourite colour and, funnily enough, the only choice available. How lucky was that? Must be βmeantβ. ππ
definitely. my fear when the shop made me try an insipid sort of mauve colour was that the shoes were comfy. I did try and ask for blue but it wasn't to be. Hence why I am sooooo envious
Gorgeous!!
I used to look longingly at high heels and sparkly shoes - now it's trainers. What has happened to me!
They are lovely
