Re-start...what worked for you?

I'm creeping back in here after such a long absence. I HAVEN'T RUN FOR 10 MONTHS. I'm at the strange place of knowing I've done this before but not at all sure I can do it again. Sadly I've regained all the weight I lost and am very unfit so I need to get out walking before I can even think about running! Today's the day...and if you have tips on how to get going all over again and then sticking with it, I'm all ears😃

I did exactly this! 10 Months break from being a regular 5-8k runner (4 times a week) and then one day just stopped. 10 months and 2 stone later, I started again...I started straight out on the Couch to 5K - totally do-able from the 10 month break and I'm just about to go out for my first run of week 7 (had to 6 days break due to illness) and I'm a bit nervous today because I'm still a bit full of a cold, but I don't want to leave it any longer...the bug (the running kind, not the other..) and the fitness are coming back. Start the Couch to 5K today, it'll be OK, I promise!!

Good to hear your experience, thanks! So good to hear that "the bug" comes back. Hope your Week 7 is going well.

I walked on Monday and yesterday did Level 1 of the 30-day Shred (an old friend of mine!). I just know I need to get this body moving again.

Frankie clearly speaks from experience, so I'd say do as he suggests: Know that you *can* do it, and decide that you *will* do it, and then simply go do it :)
