Well that happened... In an attempt to keep up with him indoors, I realised as I reached the 30 minute mark that the 5K was within my grasp. As all of you know on here, each run is an experiment some days go well and some don't. Realising that I'd kick myself I don't get to 5K at graduation and didn't take the opportunity when I was so close, I took it!
Was it easy, no. Was it worth it, hell yeah! Afterwards I undertook the longest and most comprehensive warm down ever. Foam roller and gym ball deployed. (Hope I'm still this optimistic tomorrow).
Now I've reached 5K the pressure is off, whatever happens, happens. Graduation day, I'm coming to get you!!!!
Extra few days rest makes all the difference, as well as a kick in the behind from Mr Sutsha! 😆
Well done Xx

Aw, hope you're feeling better. After having a break and a bug maybe slow things right down and head in with determination to complete no matter how long it takes. Good luck!
Cheers. Thought twice about putting the pic up as it's not about distance. That is until W9 when you get so close and it's within reach. Think I'll slow it down now and make sure I can sustain for a bit. Just love this programme!
It really was a fluke. One of those everything went well and I'd had extra rest and was very motivated. Not often you get all 3 on the same day 😄 I will be slowing things down again as I don't want to risk injury. There's a reason for slow and steady. I'm in it for the long haul!
Thanks Rua! Just needed the extra rest. Also increased my warm-up and added some backward running which is brilliant for recovery. Doesn't need to be a lot and you do need to be very careful. Kept mine in the garden where I know where everything is. 😁
You've got hills, that's THE best excuse. Factors, dear, factors. When you take account of the factors the playing field becomes rather even (Just like my route, lol). I only have a couple of gradual inclines. Granted they feel mountainous when running them ⛰😆
You don't need luck, so just enjoy! Looking forward to seeing your shiny badge! It's am exciting week watching everyone crossing the finishing line. 🏃♀️💨
