Face as pink as my trainers but am I happy?

For the second time this week I have run 5k without stopping - this time with hills! Slow as a tortoise but the park was so beautiful. Wanted to do a selfie because I felt so proud of myself but found I couldn't do one on the phone I use as an mp3 player - so accosted a stranger putting her dog back into her car. She asked if she could know my age - 57 and three quarters I said. Didn't I feel so proud!

Another first as well - I high-fived another runner. A Boldmere Bullet just starting her run as I was struggling up my last hill.

Ran with Laura on the Stepping Stones podcast, rewound after 20 minutes. I am really glad I found both the NHS C25K podcasts and this forum. Reading everyone else's achievements has helped me maintain my enthusiasm when the mojo has run out the door without me.

well done on your run. A lovely picture :) however you don't look like you have just done a hilly 5km rather a nice stroll around the park.

Brilliant Moonmar. You look like you're just about to go for a run not like you've just finished one. Enjoy your weekend

Nice togs! You don't look pink at all, apart from your very attractive feet!

I needed Laura's company to get me through the whole run. There is no way I can do 5k in 30 minutes. I think the fastest I have ever done it - and that was a parkrun run/walk - was 39 minutes.

Way to go Moons! You're doing really well. I love that name "Boldmere Bullets"! Fantastic.

I'm 57 too. We're flying the flag here for mature runners. I think Baz might well be the oldest and he's off running round NZ at the moment.
