I am sooooo happy to be doing week 1 run 1 again

Been out today to do week one run 1. The special thing about it is that I did it with Mr RFC. I am so pleased and proud that he has done the first run. Also slightly concerned that I think he will quickly over take me on the speed side of things (I am such a plodder) but such a special time for me.

That's brilliant! My husband (without me saying a word) likes to point out each week that he will not, under any circumstances, start running. He always comes round to my way of thinking eventually! ;)

Thank you, I think my mr Rfc has felt a bit jealous as I have come back from my runs happier and happier.

Enjoy this time of running with your husband, it's great that you have influenced him to take up a sport which is so convenient and yet so beneficial. Good luck and very best wishes.

Well done to the Realfoodieclubs. Men nearly always beat the women in races. Even reading on here, it seems men start to overtake us quite quickly in speed and distance. Still, you are running together and that is fabulous.

Thank you. I am hoping we stay near each another on speed. I would love to to my first park run with him.

Haha you made me laugh. I am hoping we stay at a similar pace as I would love to go On Runs together in the future.

My husband and I started this programme at the beginning of the year. He had a few niggles and I went onto graduate without him.

He started the programme again last week and I do his runs on my rest days (they feel equally as challenging this time) and we should do w2r2 today, but we going totally at his pace.

Enjoy ;)

It was good to go back. I am definitely a more comfortable runner but already I can feel his pace is quicker than mine but that might steady up a bit as the runs get a bit longer. I'm like you doing them on non running days.

My husband used to be a good runner but now he's a couch potato. Tut!

Brilliant news, RFC. So glad your other half is well enough to run. Madame Truffe and I don't run together very often, but it is fun. One of our best outings together was a run/walk through the woods, with time to stop and admire the view as well as splash through the puddles. With no pacing expectations we had a great time. All our best wishes to you both.

Thank you. I am looking forward to going out together when he is ready. I think we will have to go slow as he is still getting better daily.

That's great. I take mine out with me now. Not running but he's getting anxious about my going on my own. He walks & I run back & forth. I've told if that if he insists on being my personal trainer then he either has to start running to or get a bike.

Aw that's so sweet of him. I thought about running with someone with a bike but they would have to have really good core muscles to go so slow hehe.
