Not a great deal to say about this. Was a beautiful course, if "undulating to hilly" was the understatement of the year in the course description. The lions etc were not in evidence, which might have improved the times achieved. Although on the other hand I might have ended up as lion lunch.
I had a rubbish run. Had tummyache during the night and morning and proper cramps all the way round. Really had to struggle to finish it. Which was a shame as have been training well and was hoping for a PB today. Did not even get in under an hour.
But heyho, them's the breaks. You have good runs and you have bad runs. Jolly medal though.

I've come to the conclusion that if a description says "hilly" it really means "mountains"! What a shame you didn't feel 100% but you did it in spite of how you were feeling which is an achievement in itself. And you have a great looking medal! You must have quite a few in your collection now!
Aw Rigs, sorry to hear you werent well, that must have been so disappointing for you xxx
On the plus side, you made it , and you didnt throw up or get eaten by any lions , so not a bad day all in all.
Hey, I like that medal, it looks really cool. Another one to the evergrowing collection. Do you have a display for them or anything ? You must have a LOT now
All the best , Rigs xxx
Aww shame about your time, but just look at that medal! It's gorgeous.. I bet your time was pretty respectable anyway, even if not the PB you hoped for xx
Loving that medal Rig, just loving it! Shame you weren't firing on cylinders for the run, but as you say, you get your good runs and your bad runs. Hope the next one goes better for you
Oh dear Rig! Sorry to hear you had belly ache on your big day. Still, the medal kind of makes up for it and you did finish. Great medal and what a place to run a race. I bet it was just fab. Great job!
