This was the first run out for the new bright orange SuperHero running shoes (see previous post)! Boy are they comfy! 25 minutes seemed to fly by, possibly because I changed my usual route and was concentrating on how much the houses must have cost! Completely knackered by the end but felt sooo good. First ever Parkrun on Saturday - do I or don't I? Decisions decisions! Good luck everbody, Steve.
Week 7 Run 1: This was the first run out for the... - Couch to 5K
Week 7 Run 1
Great post Steve ! Oh, them shoes have wings , glad they are comfy, it must have felt like running on little fluffy pillows .
You are on the home strait now, how good is that ?
That's another one crossed off , Sorted ! xxx
'Fluffy little pillows' - that's it exactly! I must admit I felt rather disloyal to the 'old faithfuls' that had brought me this far, but they've served with distinction and deserve their rest
that is an affirmative big YES do Parkrun,it really is a great experience , if you are like me you will be hooked , fingers crossed the weather doesnt interfere
Great news about the Superheros Steve. They obviously did the job. I can't believe you haven't that many weeks left! Definitely go for a Parkrun. You'll love it.
Sounds like those bright orange go faster shoes deserve a special outing before they get old and battered. Good luck at the park.
Shoes that good looking had to make a positive difference (me still feeling envious...no....). Look how far you've come ! 25 mins flying by doing running, you do know time only flies by when you're ENJOYING yourself ?!? Definitely go for the park run, set yourself a 'marker', and try and better it the next time. Which one are you doing ?
That looks like a lovely course round the lake. Go for it !
Well done... And do it, park run is just fab....
Oooo new shoes I'd say do the park run...I'm too chicken but you can be braver than me!!
Dear All, I didn't do Saturday's Parkrun as I got an early morning call to go into work to drive a snowplough. (I work in the offices at Gatwick Airport but 200 of us are trained to drive the snowploughs). This Saturday then, all being well, 1st Parkrun. Ooerr!
P.S. The snow had gone by the time I got to work!
