Nice little long run... well pleased...

Last day at work today so decided to have my long(ish) run after work at a new location. Weather was good, location was great, it got dark but hey ho.. had a great steady run for 8k the longest distance for me!!! :-) I'm certainly getting into these longer runs as the pace suits me better. I took a few 1 minute walks towards the end, but thought that was ok as I was running for over an hour... told you I was slow and steady!

Back home... nice shower and then attacked a tub of smoked eel pate from our local smokery... yum yum!

Happy Christmas to one and all :-) Thanks again for all the support since my life changed at the beginning of September and I started running :-)

Thanks Juicy... so impressed with your runs!! Don't think I'll be catching you up anytime soon :-)

You started in Sept and you've done an 8K already? That's brilliant! Slow and steady is good, I'm slow too, and will be doing 8k in a couple of weeks too according to my plan. Merry Christmas

Best of luck with your 8k Curly... nice steady "talking" pace is my current technique :-)

Happy Christmas :-)

That's a great result. I fall into the slow category too. Takes me a while to get into the groove and then I can plod along nicely. Hoping to get a ling run in over Christmas now that I'm recovered from winter bug

Glad you're over your bug, there's a lot going around. I think we're the same... takes me a couple of K to get going and then I just plod away listening to some good music and enjoying the outdoors. I spent all my time following graduation trying to reduce my time for run... now I don't really care about time, just enjoying adding a bit of distance each run.

Well done on doing 8k. Sounds like a long way from where I'm sat! No idea what the pate would taste like but sounds like you enjoyed your well deserved treat :)

Merry Christmas! :D
