On Thanksgiving Day here in the US I did a turkey trot run of 4.2 miles and there were over 5000 people doing it!!!! It was a cold slightly snowy day-no wind- so it was perfect. It was a lot of fun. Forgot my headphones so no music , but I ran slow enough to talk with my friend and it was great!!!!

Turkey Trot run
What a brilliant idea - and a great day out - I think we should import Turkey Trots to the UK
Wow! What a lot of people! Looks great. Where are you - looks a bit snowy?
That looks like fun!
Is that post- or pre- turkey? Looks like fun - that's an impressive amount of people.
I learn something new every day - before I started running , I had never ever heard of a "Turkey Trot" . Sounds like a lot of fun!!
This was the 42nd year they have done this race-quite a tradition that has grown every year. They also had a 2.5 mile course that mostly "walkers" did. I live right around the corner from part of the course, but it never occurred to me to take part in it until I started running. It was so much fun
I live in central PA and all of our races on Thanksgiving were cancelled due to the projected bad weather that didn't happen.
