Wow. Just an amazing story of a brave bravery and persistence. Thanks for sharing that Bazza.

That is an amazing story! My neighbour runs and he has an MS-like issue and I often wonder how he manages.

Reading things like this gives me hope of making it through to the final run of C25K as while I don't have MS I do have a problem that affects bones, muscles and just about every other kind of body tissue due to not being able to produce enough or good enough quality collagen.

Mind and heart over matter!

I am starting to think that my own 'I was a bit fat and unfit, but now I can run 5k' story is starting to look a bit inadequate now....

What a very determined young girl.

Amazing.

And there lies the problem with some inspirational stories Maysie. We must not forget the inspirational are among us, sometimes it is even us, even if the story isn't in the media or as dramatic. I like your story!

Unfortunately some people can't leave it at "Wow! Well done! I'll keep aspiring to do my best at whatever..." and they do have unkind expectations of all people who face challenges and think "If only they tried harder/thought differently". The reason these stories make the news is because they are extraordinary.

I really love it when people set their own bar far higher than 'should be' achievable and then clear it by miles - like the girl in the video.

I find it very inspiring.

I don't have a catcher ... but then I don't win races! I have lost my legs for months, and when I get a high temperature I go completely spastic. Not very nice. I have the same attitude as Kayla though - I would hate to lose my mobility and look back on my mobile years and think I'd wasted them. So I keep on running!
