This running thing..!

I have always wanted to run. Never thought it was for me..too slow, too unfit, too fat! I bought the trainers, but never quite managed to get going.

Found this little series of podcasts and worked up the courage to have a go, finding the most remote, unpopulated areas i could.

Well today i ran for 30 mins (week 7).

I have dropped dress sizes, weight and toned up..! This was not my reason for starting, i wanted to be fitter and a little healthier.

I have no interest in how far or fast i have run, i just want to run and enjoy that moment when my body is doing its thing and i can tune out all else! When nothing else exists except putting one foot in front of the other.

I am slow, but will get faster, but most of all, as the lovely Laura has told me...

I am a runner and that makes me happy. :)

You've done really well and it's lovely to read that you are doing it because you enjoy it. Keep smiling :-)

Perfect!

That's it exactly, isn't it? Running for oneself...for fitness, for health, but most importantly, for the rest of your life.

Continued success to you....and joy!

I LOVE this blog. When I did the podcasts I didn't know how far or fast I ran and it was the best way to do the podcasts as far as I can see. It is just such an achievement to be running at all and the Lovely Laura understands this :)

Keep going with the same thoughts and enjoy; you are a true runner!!

well done and see how well-named you are! Great to hear you love to run. Bet you soon decide to try another skill and you'll succeed at that too. :) That's the great thing about this programme- the sky's the limit!

Great blog. Isn't that the essence of it really - to just run because you want to! I tend a bit to the obsessive myself but I have learned that the sky won't fall just because I am a day late with a run or walk a bit at the end. Your blog was brilliant. Stay happy :-)
