Knees a little creaky this morning but soon warmed up and enjoying the frosty morning. 3 min and 5 min runs sound good but when Laura says you've run for 16 mins which means you've run more than you've walked that's a really nice feeling
It sure is! Good old Laura. She's a great gal. Listen carefully to her. Stick with her and she'll get you round. Take care, run slowly and you'll Graduate at the end of the 9 weeks without injury. Resist the urge to go further or faster
Thanks misswobble. I certainly aim to take things carefully. Having already had 5 weeks off due to injury caused, not by running I might add but, somewhat ironically by helping my daughter to shift her couch I will do my very best to avoid a repeat!
It really is an amazing feeling! And a surprising one for me I couldn't believe it because you just keep going and listening to Laura and then you're done. I really enjoyed week 4- I think I'm starting to get the first stirrings of the bug
Good luck and let us know how it goes xxx
It certainly does seem to take you by surprise doesn't it! I really look forward to my morning runs. How far have you got? I'm getting the idea from things mentioned on this forum that week 5 is a biggie!
I'm actually starting week 5 tomorrow but really looking forward to it I'm dreading run 3 though! Trying just to focus on each run as it goes....
Ooh exciting! Good luck with it. Let us know how you get on
Well done hilbean! I am supposed to be doing W4R1 tomorrow but think I will take an extra rest day after not resisting the urge to go further yesterday.
Thanks AliPru. Nothing wrong with taking an extra rest day where needed. Better to do that than push too hard and end up hurting yourself. Let us know how you get on x
it is a great feeling well done the feelings will just get better as you do more
Thanks! I'm not sure if I should be worried by that lol! I've so far been amazed by this programme and inspired by a lot of the posts on here but I definitely get the impression that this is an addiction worth having
Up and out early this morning, keen to complete this run. The streets were in darkness and I was nervous...
breathing on the first 5 min run. I took the pace down for the next 3 and 5 min and felt a lot better....
during the 5 min run, when Laura chipped in, I was expecting her to tell me to slow down to a walk, but she...
