OOnly second time I've ever ran 10k and my first proper 10k race and enjoyed it but thought it was a hard run. What did others tgibk? Was it because I'm a newbie?

Hi thanks. It was tough at times there was quite a bit of uphill where I live is very flat so I'm not used to it. There were two small flights of steps and two relatively inclined sections and because it was two laps you had to do twice. Very damp foggy but it didn't rain. I wondered if any more seasoned runners found it hard or if it is because I'm a 10k novice and not as used to the distance. The km markers came quite quick up till 7 then the last 3 dragged a bit

Well done ! That is a really nice medal, and well deserved ! Did a lot of people take part ? I can imagine it was very popular.

Well that's your first 10k under your belt, bet that feels great doesn't it ?

Congratulations ! :-) xxx

Heehee I did it too, well the 5k route, and it was brilliant- exhausting but brilliant! Those steps came as an unpleasant surprise :) but apart from that, it was a great course. Like you, I'm used to running on the flat, so those hills were a bit of a shock to the system. Can't imagin how you got round the course twice!! Very well done :)
