It seems like my concerns last week about whether to move onto week 5 were unfounded. I did run2 of week 5 this morning and I seem to have found my pace. Slow obviously, but it feel good. My breathing felt good. So much so when at the end of the last 8 minute run and Laura said that there was only 60 seconds to go I picked the pace up a bit and felt that I could still have gone further!!!
I am slightly nervous about run 3 and those 20 long minutes though!! That and I'm running out of well light pavement space in the morning so I'm just finding myself running up and down the same stretch of road which is a little boring but nonetheless I am enjoying it!

Well done on this mornings run. Like you I was slightly worried about wk5r3 and decided to go back and forth along the same bit of road. I found that setting little targets helped me - if struggling at next gate post would turn back, when getting to gate post and was OK then set the target for the bend in the road and so on. Keeping my mind from totally concentrating on the time helped, even went through multiplication tables and by 14x15 those wonderful words "only 60secs to go".
I was a bit like that at Wk 5 - I was nursing dodgy knees and was running round and round the village playing field. Not much good for the soul, but the knees survived!
You can do it! It will feel soooo good to get W5R3 done
well done i found a pace that worked for me , definitely slow and steady ,main thing is complete the run that 20 mins sounds a lot but really it is achievable everyone has doubts about that 1st long run but no need really
