Just looked back at my first 3k run and compared it to today's - 6 weeks apart and 5mins faster.

I'll take that and party :)

Couch to 5k rocks !!

Five minutes is a lot for us c25kers. A big jump in speed indeed. Break out the party poppers!

Well done

With that extra 5 minutes you could slot in another k or two ... just saying :D What a result though but - congratulations :)

Thanks - I'm doing 5+ k at weekends , not quite up to it after a full day on feet :)

Isn't it great! Run days are somehow much more satisfying than non-run days :)

Congrats Birdy - 5 mins is a fabulous time to knock off. It is an incredibly long big amount of time - just imagine waiting for a bus in the rain for 5 minutes - there you go, a very long time. I'm seriously just trying to knock 2 mins off 5K and having problems, so I guess the answer is to just give it time - ha! - give it time... erm...!

Cheers! Little goals is the key I think , not to onerous and achievable - that'll keep me ticking over. Next - increase max. distance to 5.5k or max. time to 45mins.

Happy running :)

Brilliant increase, well done! I agree, little goals...
