...oh...and Laura - she was there too!
So, I took Bazza's and other advice, went for a good walk at the weekend, worked on the breathing and cadence, listened to my body, hand on chest and belly to see what was really happening down there, then set out on my run today without the music (just Laura for company) and found it really great! I slowed it right down and got into a 3-3 rhythm (seemed to work best for me). The legs carried me like they knew what they were doing, for a change, and I don't ache as much (my better half said that I looked less beetrooty too!). Also, don't tell Laura...I snuck an extra minute of running onto my last 5 and... shhhhh...tagged another wee run on the end (just so that I could get back to base faster)
Thanks again to all you lovely peeps for sharing your tips, ups, downs and just being generally great. Bring on run 2
