...and something went twang....

....yes I was doing the c25k plus Speed run yesterday and as I started the fourth interval something went twang in my right calf. So I stopped straight away and hobbled home. Today, there's no pain, no swelling or bruising but just a tightness if I step in a certain way. I've got my compression sleeve on when I'm not moving around and this seems to help too. FRUSTRATION!!!!!!!

Over the past 6 months , I have often gotten a kind of "twang" in the muscles/tendons somewhere around my Achilles low down near the back of my ankle) . It hasn't been painful in any way - just feels like somebody plucked a guitar string in my leg. I have watched it closely -- but it has caused me no problem or pain.

It sounds like you will be ok but rest up today and see how it is tomorrow. You can always rest up a bit longer. Do some yoga stretches. There are loads of calf stretches on youtube. There are some strength and flex podcasts with Laura on here too
