WK9 R2

Just finished R2 w9 slightly easier then R1 although I have found the first ten minutes of each run the hardest? I have signed up for The Park Run to combine it with my graduation run, hopefully :-/ pressures on now as I've told friends and work colleagues.

I always find the first ten minutes of a run the hardest. It takes the heart and lungs and muscles that long to sort themselves out and get into a comfortable rhythm.

All the best for your Graduation run! you'll be fine , parkruns are great!! go at your own pace and enjoy the moment, i did my graduation at a Parkrun too! :) And the first 10 mins are Definitely the worst for alot of people, you're not alone there!!! :X

Still don't enjoy those first 10 mins but know that if i can get past that without stopping it all gets ok.

ooh, hello shortlegs1! I'll be doing W9 R2 tomorrow, and I'm also hoping to graduate with a park run this Sat (on my birthday!)...I've also told everyone I'm running, so I have to do it now!

Absolutely agree that the first 10 mins is hardest, though I think that at least knowing that there is this long warm-up period (and mental barrier?) makes it easier to push on through...once those 10 mins are up I know I can continue and complete the run!!!

Good luck!

Good luck to you too SB, you can spur each other on knowing you're both park runners and (post run), graduates too!
