Hi fellow Couchers! I'm back from the sunny climes of Morocco but unfortunately my best laid plans to continue C25K whilst away didn't come to fruition. Yes, I sneaked my kit into the case (even persuading PapaMia to pack his gear too!) and I even checked out the gym. No treadmill, but there was a cross-trainer, so I wondered if I could do my runs on that. I didn't really feel comfortable running on the promenade (although it would have been an easy route) being a western woman on her own in foreign country. However, PapaMia and I had an unfortunate collision coming off a water slide (his back, my ribs - and he claims that I didn't take avoiding action, which I clearly did otherwise my more-than-ample front or rear "airbags" would have been deployed! The result was very painful ribs on my left side, followed by a cracking bruise! So I contented myself with swimming gently, and walking.

Back to the treadmill today, armed with my week 7 podcast ... And I managed it! Had to slow down a wee bit for the last minute, but I finished the run and clocked 3.3km to boot! Well chuffed :) even though it's been 3 weeks since my last run, can I count this as the second run of the week?

Sorry if you're hosting my gremlins, but please don't send them back just yet - I'm enjoying running without them sat on my shoulders :D

Sorry to hear about the wee accident, but well done for getting back into the swing of things. It's far too easy to let one day take the next after a multi-week break, so good for you!

Thanks for your support and encouragement Tomas.

The "accident" was quite funny, once I got my breath back and the pain started easing. It's a bit sore now, but I'm sure it will ease up soon.

Two runs into week 7 equals the furthest I've ever got on C25K, and I'm determined to get through the 7 runs left and graduate. :)

Very well done on getting back out there after your hols. I'm off to Agadir next week will only manage walks though still on the injury bench. By the way that we are runners on here not couchers those are the ones still sitting about wasting their lives away ;)

Thanks for your kind words Oldgirl, and point taken - I had meant "couchers" as in C25Kers, but that's too hard to type on the iPad!!!!!!!! I know the real couchers are the ones not shifting off their backsides. Sorry and hope no-one's taken offence ;)

We were in Agadir too - very central and 5 mins away from the Prom. One day we walked to the Marina and back to our hotel, and another day we turned left instead, walked til the hotels ran out and then returned. PapaMia reckons we did about 6 miles each time. We also took a 4x4 ride up into the Atlas Mountains, and did a wee bit of walking on that trip - nothing too strenuous mind, which was just as well bearing in mind that my ribs were giving me gip as I was hanging on whilst we were off-roading! We had a great trip - shame about the weather in our second week, as the coastal miss seemed to prevail, only shifting around 5pm. Was still better weather than here though! ;) Have a great trip Oldgirl x
