Ladies I need a running bra for 40d boobs, the ones I have tried I cant get on , like a straight jacket. or rubbish, help me please, can you believe I started C25K in April and my poor girls are bobbing like a pair of ducks in a fast flowing stream !!

Not a problem I've come across ... My whole life I've been miserable about being totally flat-chested ... until now! There are a lot of large chested ladies out there who I am sure will give you lots of weblinks!
Suzeqzy's link to a good bra - and at a good price too. I wear Shockabsorber and they are great - although they can be the very divil to get into - but you get used to that. You'll get far less neck pain. Bravissimo also do this range, plus their own brand and are superb at fitting you properly. Good luck!

I went for a fitting and said it was for running. The lovely lady found just the one, adjusted the straps for me and had me jumping up and down to check for movement. Nothing!

Shockabsorbers are good - even though it's a work out in itself to get into them. Gave my husband a surprise though when he went online looking for shock absorbers for his truck and was faced with images of women's underwear - what a hoot!!
I wear two I wear a shock absorber (which I agree is a devil to get on) and over it I wear an asda cheapie to help 'clamp them down'. One just doesn't seem to do it for me.
Bravissimo!! Fantastic shop. Go for a fitting there. they are great. Just been myself and feeling far happier!!! Pricey but you get what you pay for!!
I found the Berlei sports bra very good.....kept those babies in the right place!

Two bras has been the best solution for me so far: a normal under wired one with an unwired sports bra over the top... The wires have been digging in a bit tho so I visited the Bravissimo shop today. Since starting the C25K programme i am apparently now an even weirder fitting (narrower back/still big boobs) and after some friendly advice I have come out with an under-wired sports bra in my size.
For sports bras to have even the remotest chance of holding larger boobs in place securely while jogging, they have to be both fairly tight and made of an unyielding fabric, so getting them on will always become an extra bit of warm up exercise (I have found that some, er, 'vocal exercises' (!) often occur spontaneously while getting into them till you can 'break them in a bit'!)
I am going to venture out single-bra'd tomorrow: no doubt I will find out soon enough if this is a sensible thing to do!

I love my panache sports bra (I'm a 36ff)
But what I really recommend is go to bravissimo and have a proper fitting, sometimes you need a different size in a sports bra to a normal bra, also a lot of women are actually wearing the wrong size bra in the first place so it's best to get checked out properly.

Am I the only one that doesn't fight to get their shockabsorber bra on? Mines the one designed for running so minimises the figure of 8 motion the girls like to do, clasp is like a regular bra with just an additional slotty clasp one at the top.......perhaps I'm doing it all wrong 
good luck with your bra hunting, I'd starting running in a low impact asda bra until I read how much damage I could be doing, yikes!
I think I have the same shock absorber as Lovefood. I was measured at John Lewis when I was buying an ordinary bra and the assistant there suggested doing up the top clas before putting the bra on - then you put it on over your head. It's still quite an effort to do up the ordinary clasp but so comfortable and secure! Good luck grannyjudes!

Althought lucky me I did find a SA in my size on Ebay, for a tenner, they are nearer £35 in the stores so hope it will be ok
I can now feed back on this morning's road test: I can officially recommend the Freya Active bra I bought yesterday from Bravissimo. You can order online with bravissimo. They are not cheap but...
I got mine in Tesco ages ago and wear a very tight t-shirt over the top.
I went to M & S and got a wonderful piece of structural engineering that kept my 38F in place and was so comfortable - last week got a shock absorber which is also good too but now I am down to 36E. I no longer worry about black eyes and bruised knees. Running is more comfy too with proper bra.
Marks have some vouchers / promotions now until 17/08 with £7 off lingerie. I have to get kitted now with a smaller ordinary bra.
Can recommend M&S ultra high impact bras - got mine whilst 2012 Olympics were on (ahem, and prob should get new ones!) but there great, once you've done the contortion trick to get in it ... tho do need Papa or a Bambino Mia to check that the removable shoulder strap won't remove itself under the 40DD tension
