Over the hill...

Inspired by Pc59 and RunningGeek I set off on Stepping Stones this morning.

I wasn't feeling as keen as usual, but looking out of the window and seeing blue sky, I realised I had no excuse. If those gals can do it in the dark, cold evenings I have to get out too..

I started nice and slow, looking for Snowdrops for Oldfloss , as she is under the weather at the moment. I looked carefully and thought about her lovely descriptive posts as I ran. I was also thinking about the runners in Week 4 at the moment and how nervous they are about moving up to Week 5. This reminded me of how amazed I was when I first ran for 8 mins..twice😊

Before I knew it I was at the top of my steep hill and crossing the road. YES..I felt fine..no exploding chest like last time, I think my slow pace helped, and my fitness is improving. As I was slow I had a bit of extra course left at the end so ran on for a min or two after the podcast finished.

So sorry, Floss no Snowdrops in sight but I took you round with me just in case.

Thank you PC59 and RunningGeek for the push out of the door today. I was glad I did it. xxx

Well done Bluebirdrunner I did hills today too! I haven't tried the Stepping Stones yet, is it good? I guess I should tackle it sometime. I didn't see any snowdrops on my morning run either but I was running through the town so not all that many flower beds to see at all.

Hi Loisamelia, yes I like Stepping Stones, mainly because it is Laura, but the tempo suits me fine as well and I enjoy running to a beat.😊

Well done on the hills..I expect yours were more challenging than mine.😄 xxx

We don't have many hills round here really, I live on top of a sort of valley so everywhere is either downhill or flat. Today I decided to do the downhill but that meant I also had to do some ups!

When I listen to my own music it has a mixture of beats, I don't think it effects my running pace much, it's more of a distraction so I don't think about the running lol!

Such a nice feeling that I have inspired someone to run :-) Never thought that would happen. Thanks Bluebirdrunner . Pity about the snowdrops but clearly you need to go out & try again :-D Sounds like a great run x

Well done! Super impressed that you do hills! I live on the coast so mainly run on the very flat promenade, the nearest thing to a hill is the bridge over the railway line! I'm full of admiration for those who can tackle hills! You've all put me to shame for not going out yesterday so hoping to have a little shuffle out later this morning! X
