Feeling really good, changed my route now I expect to go a bit further, and it worked! Start with a gentle downhill slope, then some ups and downs... really enjoyed this run and finished on a sprint for the last 60 seconds... where are my week 6 buddies?

Congratulations, sounds like a great run :)

I did run 1 of week 7 yesterday, and it went quite wrong! (I think I had my week 6 setback a week late).

I was a bit disappointed my my distanced covered on run 3 of week 6, (as it was only slightly more that week 5, run) and after reading about some other peoples distances, I tried to up my speed. Started off feeling good, but then from about 14 mins into it, I really couldn't get my breathing right... even after slowing down. Then whilst going up a slight hill for a few minutes, I really couldn't get my breathing sorted and I panicked and had to walk! :(

I think I walked for about a minute, then finished the run (breathing still really not right, although I did manage to speed up for the last minute, like Laura said) but I'm a little disappointed. Hopefully my next run will be better, I've just got to forget about distance at the moment and go slow!

Good luck for run 2!

Well done Curlygurly, sounds like you had fun. No sprint at the end of yesterday's Wk7R2 for me, still got the dreaded blisters but I'm not giving up. Got some more Compeed patches and as long as they help I want to complete Wk7 this week. Let me know how your next run goes? Sounds like your getting the running bug to me. Well done you :-)

Way to go! I just finished week 7 run 2 - seemed harder than the last couple runs but sticking to it. I also enjoy a bit of an incline - makes you feel like a superhero on the way down. Much less so on the steeper uphills. :)

That's wonderful news Curlygurly!!! I have been on the injury bench for best part of a week, don't know what I did but my legs were hurting too much to get out there and run. Still feel like an old lady today, but going to try week 7 r1 later today. But going to try on the treadmill so if I have to stop at least I'll still be in my house and not miles away, lol.
