Done 5K!!!

Had the opportunity to run with a friend for the first time today, and she knew where the 2.5K turnaround was. We agreed to run there, and I'd see how much of the way back I could do before having to walk. It was hard, but mostly psychological, and sheer bolshiness kicked in and made me finish. Yippee! Took 45 mins, which was maybe a little silly, as the longest run I've done so far was 33 mins, but so what. I just slowed down, rather than give up. I'm so pleased - perhaps even more pleased than when I graduated (three weeks ago). Onwards and upwards now.... :) :) :)

thats how I do mine, I know where the halfway mark is so I think to myself now could I run back if I had to, if the answer is yes I take the ong route which is 5k, if the answer is no I cut thru back streets. And my time is nearer 55 mins so dont be disheartened
