(Sunday) At present this is the outfit of choice to achieve tv stardom, but the camera may not catch my wondrous looks because of the sombrero rim. (It'll certainly not be just keks like that man yesterday though.)
In case you need to be told how I'll be achieving tv fame it's because I'm off to see the TdF. I will try to pick up some tips when the peloton passes. (Not to mention a souvenir pack of Yorkshire Thé.)
Still working on asking neighbour if I can borrow the bike. It's a bit fancy so answer could be no for fear I wreck suspension.

I think you're not trying hard enough if you don't manage to use 10 gears! (Or you live somewhere very flat?) Try cycling round the Highlands without using all 27 gears -- and wishing you had more!
Dear Swanscot, I never understood how to change gear once I got past my RSW something or other - it had three gears. Are you joining the The Dozz-ville Challenge Award For The Discombulated? 30mins run, swim, ride. Dead easy for a 27 gear rider. Let me know.
Ooo La La! Holy guacamole! (See what I did there? ) Looking superb Dozz, am feeling the need to play a quick Samba on the ocarina. Actually I do have some samba music and a backing track, so listen out for me later.
Have a truly wonderful time at the TdeY. I'm unbelievably jealous, not least because most of my family were watching yesterday and posting on Facebook about how fab it was! Poor me, exiled in East Anglia, missing it all.
On the plus side, think I may have tracked down a bicycle for the Discombobulated. I'll find out tonight, so fingers crossed.
Fab ! Oh, it is absolutely brilliant, I have loved watching it on telly. Was in Oldham/ Rochdale area most of today and all the roads to Littlebrough were closed, saw loads of cyclists there and most of the shops had the yellow bikes mounted on their walls. Must have been when the route just touched the bit of Lancashire/Greater Manchester. I bet it was brilliant to see it in the flesh so to speak . Gorgeous day too, you must have been very hot in your poncho and sombrero xxx
Nice outfit Dozz but I think you should have gone for a spotty king of the mountains kinda vibe.! Just to update you , I'd like to be included in the challenge, I can do my run bit & my bike bit in the gym & my cross channel swim training is going really well, I can now do 2 lengths of the pool without stopping!! My donation goes to Breast cancer care/Cancer research. 13 years on & still going strong!!
Feel I should point out I know the jersey is famously yellow but it was definitely sombrero green last night on tv. Not sure why that was - colour is tuned okay!!
Looking suitably swell Dozzer, will be looking out for you posting any cycling tips you pick up. Hope the sun is shining - it is up in Aberdeen. Woo hoo.
