(Thursday) It seems Nicholas Hoult's eyebrows were denied me. Guess I could aim for Nick Frost's. He's closer in age and lack of figure. (I am shrinking though.)
Plans are progressing for next year's triathlon. Ferd is available to give swimming lessons, but there is the option of a mini submarine. We have a push along trike with sunshade up for grabs if you've not made it past stabilisers. I think Captain poppypug (ents and haberdashery div) has her eye on that though.
Do not despair - the triathlon is not until next year so you have time to become proficient in all disciplines.

I could get hold of bicycles by the dozen - all shapes and sizes - all bright yellow and which are littered along all our local roads to celebrate LeTour. Would be a shame not to make good use of them! We are in Yorkshire after all and tight as a D A!
Right. Submarine is NOT yellow. We will go for green the colour jersey of fastest sprinter. More apt in our case as runners. Keep the yellow bikes though - an across the board re-spray would be costly.
Ah, we thought it was to go in. So it's more like the trolley and weather balloon. A good job we cleared that up now. I'll go and rebook that swimming lesson.
So, are these crazy dudes your relatives of yours? They look old enough to have been members of the resistance when grandad and Ron where over there in '42.
Training supplies procured and in the store. Lots of heathy staples available plus the Toblerone; jammie dodgers and ingredients for coffee and walnut cakes. Wouldn't like to supply those long life cakes so will need a couple of hours notice for these. Also, I think I can persuade my grandson to share his blow up paddling pool for swimming practice. He does love dogs so will be happy to let Ferd take the absolute beginners here before moving on to the canal for swimming lessons. Things shaping up nicely for next year.
me too..the almonds and honey fooled me, but half a giant bar (which is my usual portion size ) May be contributing to my need for a larger uniform. So better stick to one triangle a day on rations.
I think a tray in front holding toblerone, dodgers, coffee and walnut cake as an incentive to go faster. The faster you go, the more the smell is blown back, the faster you go. It could be enhanced further with the use of 'Ahhhhh, Bisto'
Ok, for all those that can't swim and are not hitching a lift on the green submarine, I'll be on hand to teach swimming. Have my beginners tonight, so I'll be expecting an influx of 'learn to swim' - next Tuesday for the improvers. Look forward to seeing you all! P.S. I'd like to try next year too, but we may need stretcher bearers?!
Never mind raspberry. As Captain in the ents div you need to find a new name for our triathlon. It has insufficient bearing to show the excitement we feel about it.

I live near Dover & just in case I don't manage to graduate before next year I have started training to swim the channel, there & back , of course, so that at least, if accepted, I could do the swimming bit!!!!
