Yes I ached a bit in my muscles and joints for the first couple of weeks I guess the body is just getting used to the exercise but all of a sudden you will start to experience a level of health you had not before and let me tell you that is great

Keep it up and remember if you keep going the way you are going one day you will get there

I have an old "war wound" in the right knee and it's been fine until after I had showered this morning. A little bit tender and bit achey this morning now I may have to stretch more when I have finished each run.

Yeah that aching is normal. Your body reacting to new exertions. You'll be fine. Keep up the good work

That's the very hardest week over. From here on you can tell yourself "it's only 30 seconds longer than last week" etc., and that makes a huge difference. And it's true, by the end of next week you'll be noticing health benefits which will outweigh the pain of aching muscles. Just don't go at it too hard. Listen to Laura...

Good for you, I'm really struggling to complete week one, I've done it 6 times now and can't get passed the fourth minute run, I just can't do anymore and struggle toget my breathing right. Feel dissapointed as really want I do it.

Vonska, I was told many years ago to slow my breathing down when running, concentrate on your breathing more than the actual running/jogging. You may start with just a slightly faster walk but you will eventually do a slow jog and then eventually a slow run.

I have not run for a long, long time but used this bit if advice still when I started this program.

The body wants oxygen and breathing in and out too fast stops your body getting what it needs. Which makes you start breathing faster creating a problem.

As people keep posting slow down it's not a race. Even if our minds think it is.

Good luck and keep trying.
