have just done the most horrendous run i have ever done,I just couldn't get into my regular pace for some reason, i kept stopping and starting it was awful. A complete waste of time so i gave up after just over 2miles and walked home with the hump!!!!!!!
what a waste of time!!!!: have just done the... - Couch to 5K
what a waste of time!!!!
Did I hear you say that you just ran 2 miles???? Most people I know would think that was very impressive and basically unachievable to them!!
These bad run happens, so don't be so hard on yourself.
It is still 2 miles more than most people will do today....
Don't give up and go home. If you walk/run that's fine. I do it all the time. It's the ok thing to do
If you think you want to pack in then that's the time to walk to get your breath back. Then you can try running again. I nearly packed up the other week at 5 k but told myself off and kept going. I did 12 k! You can sometimes just find your running legs much later in the run. You might be like me and are slower to find your running legs.
Sorry to hear that. It's weird how that just happens occasionally, but you'll be back to normal next time no doubt
Never a waste of time if you're off the couch and out doing stuff! It's just one of hose bad runs that we all get sometimes - next one will restore your faith!
2 mile run a waste of time? Nope... all good here thanks! Your next run will be awesome...
thanks for replies, guess i was too hard on myself, i like to do 5k and feel that if i don't reach that i have failed somehow. But as some of you say 2miles is better than nothing.
if you remember some of the comments from Laura, if you are tired slow down at bit. It may be worth slowing your pace slightly from the beginning with the view to reaching your 5k target irrespective of how long it takes you.
There is also a psychology to any achievement if you think in terms of success you will be successful and the converse is also true.
Keep up the good running and let us all know when you hit that 5k goal

You ran, for 2 miles despite feeling out of sorts....now I'm not expert but that isn't something to regret or be cross about! Remember W1 R1 and those first 60 seconds? Chalk it up as a dodgy run and go out next time knowing you can smash it!
