Busy girl!

It's been over a week since I posted last! Sorry been a busy girl!

I did the parkrun on Saturday and got a new PB of 36:53!!! Even with stopping to tie my laces! Whoop, Whoop! Didn't expect that! It's ironic that I wasn't excited about it! No Idea why!

I was is agony later that day and all of Sunday / Monday. I had already arranged to do Swansea Bay 5K for Tuesday.

It was painful from the first half K! Even though it was all on the flat! First there was a fight to get past the walkers who decided they wanted to be at the front! Not long in I'm in total agony but keep going one foot in front of the other. The pain was my soon in the whole of my legs and lower back. By 3.5K was in tears and a lady I know from dancing had caught up with me and told me not to give up. She said keep moving, almost there. 100 paces. Count 100 paces and we'll be at 4K. She counted while cried! We were at 4K. She got ahead of me and I used her to pace me the last bit. Not my best time at 38:22 but I am proud of myself. I crossed the like and bawled my eyes out! Got an appointment on Friday to look at my knees, back and the rest of me! It was the hardest run I've done so far. But the most rewarding at the same time!

Today I did a session with the beginners from my running group. Slow running and walking for over 3.2 miles. A little achy but I managed. It's my first outing with them. I made some new friends too. Really enjoyed!

Happy running all

Well done for your Parkrun and Swansea Bay 5k! Hope you don't get too many pains like that again! Glad you have enjoyed your running group, its a good idea to mix things up a bit x

It was worth the pain. I haven't felt so proud of myself as I did Tuesday evening. I figure If I'm still sore Saturday I'll go running with one of the newer members of the group who does intervals.I'm confident I'll be ok to do that after running with them on Wednesday
