Running with Zombies and other mental motivation scenarios.

The Running with Zombies game/app has been mentioned elsewhere. (You listen to the app and it tells you a story in which zombies are chasing you to get you going faster.) I know others have described their own in their head scenarios of being chased by/chasing after things as motivation. Dozzer's posts of a military nature, and inclusion of Lord of the Rings references, for instance.

What other novels, movies or purely imaginary scenarios of this type can people think up?
