help with a play list please

I have footloose, crash by the primatives, affirmation by savage garden, take on me -aha, fireflies by owl city . I was more looking for songs with the right beat than my very favourite. I looked uo songs that were about 160bpm. Keep us updated on your list. Waka waka by Shakira, and love and pride by King are great for warm up or cool down.

Oh dear, I am as old as the hills, dont know any of these, thats my prob, I am a sixties child, dont do todays music, but I will check yours out , I might learn something
I'm with you Grannyjudes!!! Most of the running music I have heard is horrible !! But I also have the problem that music for running MUST for me sync to the beat of my running -- otherwise it throws me out completely and would rather have none. So far, I have found almost nothing that is sympathetic to running. The C25K music has a BPM of from 120-130 - for me , that is walking music, not running music.

I think anything you like is good. I don't worry about the tempo matching mine, but just find different tunes give me a boost. It's nice if it does happen though!
Hope you find some good tunes

I did listen to footloose and liked it but Shakira left me cold !!

Hiya, just popped in here from FB and thought I'd say hello cos I'm about to do something similar for a new list for me. So far, how's about ...
In the Summertime - Mungo Jerry
Johnny be good - Chuck Berry
Some days you gotta dance - Dixie Chicks
I do, I do, I do, I do, I do - Abba
Gimme, gimme, gimme a man after midnight - Abba
Fun, fun, fun - Beach Boys
The Bare Necessities - Louis Armstrong
The Clapping Song - Shirley Ellis
Spanish Flea - Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass
River Deep, Mountain high - ike and Tina or Celine Dionne
Just getting going with selecting and all these are a nice pace for me. I do like jolly/fun lyrics and something that makes me want to sing and run along too.

A friend of mine runs to the sounds of the sea and loves it, I'm going to give it a try, it's the next best thing to running by the shore
