Hi I've just finished W7R1 I am really really slow but to date have completed everything - well except when I fell over at 19.5 mins into a 20 min run and broke my wrist! so really proud. Have a 5k fundraiser in a months time and want to gauge if I will be able to run it all. Could someone recommend a free iPhone app I could track my distance when training with? Thanks

I really like the Nike+ run club app. It works well with the apple watch too if you go that route. Their data goes up to a free website at nike.com that makes it really easy to track your history.
I've been wondering the same thing and have had Map My Run recommended to me. Have downloaded it and will try it on Saturday when I attempt Run 2 of Week 7. Would be interested to hear what others use.
I've used Map My Run, but prefer RunKeeper. I don't really know why - I don't actually think there's much to choose between them!
Both let you see your route, stats, history...
Endomondo for me.
But they are all much of a muchness. Records your run, tells you how far. Does what it says on the tin. For the purposes you need it for, pick any one you like, really.

1) MapMyRun
2) RockMyRun
3) EndoMondo
4) Strava
5) RunKeeper
6) Runtastic
7) Apps from all the running-shoe brands - Asics, Nike...
I'm sure that there are others. But I've always had an activity tracker or running watch and therefore have never used a running app on my phone.
I personally used to use Runtastic before I got my Garmin, i have a few of their apps.
