Really been nervous and on way there wondered why on earth was I putting myself through this but once start gun went off I just LOVED every minute. Perfect running conditions. Most unusual spectators were 2 adult swans with their 10 or so tiny fluffy babies who were sitting on pavement beside loch at the top of the hill. I kid you not it just looked like they were just watching us running by.Beautiful. It was my first real race - time chip in number and everything. Even thinking of aiming for 10 k next year. Am I mad?

Aw thanks for remembering No - excuse . I got really emotional in lead up and the hanging about beforehand but when I started running it was all fine.

Good for you. I thought about entering but too soon for me. Sounds like a great experience...and who knows what might be next. Good luck!

Oh you must do it next year nrg girl. I think the nerves/ anticipation was harder than the actual race Suppose it's fear of the unknown

Sounds like a great occasion and you really enjoyed yourself. Well done. You could have twice as much fun in the 10k, no ?

Thing is hen pen I knew I could run 5k and still got really nervous so would need to feel confident could run the10k distance before entering but then again I couldn't run for 30 secs a year ago so by next year who knows what I would be able to do. Mmm

2nd June. ENT appointment on 12th. Still a bit breathless but am feeling more energetic.

But now hips as well as legs giving me jip so going ask for physio referral. Can't believe all the probs I've had since late March...could be much worse though. Got to remember that!
