Really been nervous and on way there wondered why on earth was I putting myself through this but once start gun went off I just LOVED every minute. Perfect running conditions. Most unusual spectators were 2 adult swans with their 10 or so tiny fluffy babies who were sitting on pavement beside loch at the top of the hill. I kid you not it just looked like they were just watching us running by.Beautiful. It was my first real race - time chip in number and everything. Even thinking of aiming for 10 k next year. Am I mad?

Thing is hen pen I knew I could run 5k and still got really nervous so would need to feel confident could run the10k distance before entering but then again I couldn't run for 30 secs a year ago so by next year who knows what I would be able to do. Mmm
No not mad! go for it!! Sounds like a lovely run, congratulations on a great run! I'm contemplating a 10k in October in Bournemouth, its near my birthday and a good way to celebrate my 44th !?! The swans sound gorgeous!
