I haven't been feeling great the last few days, no appetite and hardly eating and when I do it well I'll let you fill in the blanks. It's my own fault, I messed up a repeat prescription and so went a whole week without a medication. It's a type of medicine that can upset your tummy for a while when you first start taking it. But the result is I feel dizzy, sick, bloated and blurgh.
I had hoped to head out this evening but instead I am in bed trying to decide between xmen 3 or ironman (ummmmm Hugh or Robert ..... Logan or Tony ..... ) or maybe fast and furious (umm fast cars and Vin) yeah I'm shallow I like action and man candy from a movie.
Anyway....
I think it's definitely the right decision to not push myself and I will see how I feel tomorrow and make a decision about the parkrun. I know I will be really disappointed if I don't go but at the same time it's not worth pushing yourself when you aren't well.
The finish line is so close and I think for a moment I forgot that my health comes first, the finishing line isn't going anywhere.
But in other news my blisters are looking fab and a marathon running friend recommended a product called body glide, it's not just for feet, it can be used anywhere you have a rubbing friction issue. I might even try it on my thunder thighs next time I wear a skirt.

Ooooo might need some of that myself (also to try whilst wearing a dress, my current solution is leggings and dress combo almost somewhat defeating the point of a dress!) sorry to hear your insides are messed up, nothing worse, hope they get better soon on a separate question back to the one I asked the other day about kinesiology tape can you reccomend a good one that doesn't cost the earth? My current one wasn't too impressed when I showered and I read they are supposed to stay on (the bit on the bottom of my foot was the bit that peeled, the bit on the side of my leg is hanging on in there so it may be bottom of the foot is just too hard going for the tape)
Levo tape is the one I've got, guess it doesn't like my foot I rounded corners and rubbed too, might try tex tape next time although I hope not to need it again it's always handy to know these things. Thanks for the advice!
Sorry to hear of your poorly woes, Spoonie. Definitely the right course of action: rest, rest rest until you feel better. Graduation awaits, and you'll have that shiny, shiny badge next to your name in no time at all. Rest, enjoy the film/s and you'll be reight again soon!
Hey, it's only a short delay and no need to risk your health for the sake of a few days. You know you will get there Spoonie. And as I have already said tonight graduation, although amazing, is only the start of your running experience.
Hi spoonie, hope you feel better soon, you will get to your graduation soon enough im sure. Take care and hope to hear tales of you and ferd soon.... enjoy your movies.....
Hang in there and get better first. I managed a month off between run 2 and 3 of week 9 with a calf injury, I managed to graduate on Saturday, didn't notice a drop in performance at all over that whole time.
Thank you, feeling in better spirits after an xmen fix
I am rubbish at remembering to take stuff, but didn't think missing a week would have such an impact. And of course by the time I remembered to order the repeat it fell wrong over a weekend. But I should have realised they would, blood sugar has probably been all over the place as it's medicine used to treat diabetes, though that's not why I'm taking it.
I used a product like that when i was in the US, not for running but for skirt wearing. I swear, how did women deal with that for the last millennia or so when we couldn't wear trousers and full length tights hadn't been invented? Even at my very thinnest as a teenager, (a scrawny 7 stone and a bit) i could have used that product!
I have no idea how women coped. Oooh maybe it was their bloomers that saved them from raw thighs! My Mum never had an issue with it and could never understand why I complained and would continue to wear tights, or cycle shorts.
Ohhh Hunni, I hope you're feeling better! I did run 1 week 9 Tue... It's now Sat! My hips feel better but knees not so good. It's frustrating I know but we are almost there. I may attempt run 2 today. But like you say we have to look after ourselves!
(((Hugs))) stay tucked up with puppy cuddles & hopefully you'll feel a heap better tomorrow xxx just managed run 2.... Felt better than run 1 when my hips & knees were killing... Just knees today!!!! Fingers crossed you nail it tomorrow.... Then ONE TO GO!!!!!!!!
