My right foot has swollen up. Any ideas what it could be?

I last ran on Monday ( due out tomorrow) and have been on my feet all day, but my toes and upper foot feels "puffy". There's no pain and I didn't injure it and it's weird that it's only the one foot. I'm not looking for medical advice here, but has anyone had something similar? (Thought I'd better elevate it so sitting with a glass of chilled white wine and not moving!).

Maybe just the heat, my feet tend to get puffy at the end of the day when it's hot!

See how it feels after you've elevated it for a while... Heat does make them puffy too? Or see Dr if it doesn't calm down... Take care

It does seem a bit better. Thanks JJ. Oh, just seen a runner outside in the village. Wonder if she is "one of us".

Foot: who knows, you may have strained some little toe muscle. A very detailed injury! Sounds like elevation is the best plan.

Whenever i see a slowish, roundish looking middle aged runner, with earphones in, i wonder! If not our C25K, then maybe some other. I try to smile at them and catch their eye.

I've no idea, I'm afraid, but I hope it's not serious and that it's just an odd, random niggle that will clear up soon. :-)

Thank you Miles_Yonder.

On your feet all day, hot weather...blame physiology and gravity.

Best 'suck-it-and-see', OR just elevate and keep it cold. Wrapped frozen peas?! If it doesn't get better, pop and see the quack.

Thanks Sallycycle. Swelling gone today but foot a bit painful. Might give run a miss today. What a bu**er.

Good news indeed! At least about the swelling; not about the enforced rest ~ that's life!

There is always tomorrow, and that is always there to look forward to.
