What are they called?!

I usually just carry my iPhone but feel like I'd prefer to not worry about dropping it- does anyone have a good reccommendation? Or are the much the same? I have an iPhone 4. Thanks!

I got one of these a few weeks ago from Amazon; I think I searched for running armband and my phone make! However, I wish now that I had decided to go for the waistband instead, as getting the phone in and out of the armband is a real faff, you can't swipe the screen easily or see the display that well . Also, have the strap too loose and it falls down your arm, or too tight and you cut the blood supply to your hand! Good luck with whatever you decide :)

I got a fitletic running belt, very small and stretchy that holds my iphone, MP3, keys, some money and a tissue. It is very small but I have the bag against my tum rather than my bum and it stays there fine without jiggling around. Its soft stretchy material so it doesn't rustle either. Its a zipped pouch, so not really easy to whip your phone out whilst running but it does make it easy to carry. x

I didn't like my armband, It wouldn't have offered any protection in the rain and just wouldn't stay on my arm securely. I went for a SPIbelt and I love it! It's not super-easy to access on the move but once I've set my app off and started running I don't need to get to it anyway. It's really little but expands to fit any size phone or other bits you need to carry. I got the water resistant one.

Thanks for the advice - I hadn't considered a belt/waistband... and I think I'd prefer it, I was worrying about slippage, circulation, chaffing with the arm band.

Thanks again!

My husband bought me an armband but I've lost that much weight through running that it just slips down. I used to have fat arms not so long back now they're puny! Still, can't complain

I just put my mp3 player into the back pocket of my running pants, with the cord threaded down my top to keep it out the way. I set the podcast before I put it into my pocket. So far it's not switched off or anything

I hope you get something sorted out soon. Good luck and happy running

Ive got a flipbelt which is great, but getting loose since i lost wieght! I also got a "emergency " cheep karrimore clip on one, which i done really like - too rough on the belt part. Guess I have to go for the expensive! (though about to look at the other recomendations here!)

Waistbelt user here too; it's great, holds my phone, keys and MP3 player, plus a bit of money/bank card if I need them. :-)

I just ordered a neat little belt bag from eBay ebay.co.uk/itm/130946348621... only £3.69 which hopefully should be much neater than the bulky bum bag I wear now. There are smaller ones on sale but I wasn't sure if my phone would fit in them.

I've also got an iPhone and my other half bought me one of the armbands which again is either excruciatingly tight and you have no hope of getting your phone in or out, or it slips down my arm as I wobble along. I therefore shove it down my sports bra where it has absolutely no change of moving!!! :-)
