Did anyone have a sore chest (dare I think heart?!) ...

the day after running their first week? It concerns me a bit! My leg muscles after the first run were killing me the day after along with the sore chest. I did my second run yesterday and amazingly feel very little stiffness in my legs today (just a teeny bit in the hip area), but that chest soreness is still there. I ran in the park yesterday where they have distance markers, and I did the run over 3.2k, does that sound right?

could it be muscular pain in the chest? you do use different muscles there when you run so maybe just muscle soreness or a pull? hope you feel better soon x

Any pain that persists or becomes too uncomfortable should be checked out by your GP. You should stretch after each run to help alleviate muscular pain and reduce the risk of injury. There are a good basic set of stretches here nhs.uk/Livewell/c25k/Pages/... Good luck, I hope you get relief soon.
