Well I did it, W9R3 completed yesterday - which also happened to be my 47th birthday (what a great birthday present to myself) This was a big achievement for me as I've not really exercised properly since having some disc removed from my lower back 10 years ago. Apart from the final run yesterday the biggest highlight of the programme was W5R3 after only running for 8 minutes continuously up until that point, Laura suddenly decided right you're are going to run for 20 minutes - my first thoughts were a John McEnroe style " you can't be serious" and "Laura has been replaced by some deranged maniac" but I did it and the rest is history.
Did mine on the treadmill so now my goal is to try and get outdoors (maybe even a 10K race) - if that fails I'll just continue with the treadmill work, I've lost 21 pounds since starting the programme, only another 56 to go to my target weight - GO ME !!!
Congratulations on your graduation! It's a great achievement and I am sure with the better weather coming along running outside will be even more enticing. Weight loss is impressive too
Congratulations and well done! I've only run on a treadmill once, for a gait analysis and am in no hurry to do it again, so hats off to you. Enjoy the great outdoors when you get there.
