Week 7 Run 2 - ticked the box!

Well, that's the second run of the week over and done with. Again, it was fairly uneventful - I changed my route and found myself on a very uneven path (one I'd never been along before) with potholes, stones, etc. When I found an exit back to the main path I was running on large gravel for a while - bit of a killer run in that respect - and I was glad to be back on tarmac. I really thought I might not complete this session but I'd gone too far to give up and even managed to go just a tad faster when Laura said there were just 60 seconds left. I'm thankful that I can now rest for 48 hours and I certainly won't be trying that particular path again. Good luck to everyone running in the next day or so. Best wishes.

Well done Mo. Another one ticked off. I was running on a terrible road today. Land that time forgot. It put ages on the time as you have to pick your way round. Oh well onward .......

Better luck with your next one

Hi Fitmo! Well done for your efforts yesterday....the route sounds tough. Only 1 more to complete WK 7....

Thank you everyone for your support and words of encouragement. Yes, it was a tough path yesterday but it looked like impacted earth when I first spotted it - by the time I discovered it was a potted, uneven, etc., type of route I couldn't be bothered to turn back. Ironically, it runs between two very nice tarmacked paths! I didn't move into this area until the end of July last year and have only just started exploring the various paths - there's many more yet to discover but I think I'll leave the exploring for when I'm walking the dog and stick to what I know for the running. Best wishes to you all.

Well done you! And well done for going out of your comfort zone and trying a different route.

The first half of my route is on a grass path along the canal. Beautiful nature, but full of mole hills and uneven ground. So I can somewhat relate to the annoyance of gravel (although I'm sure gravel is worse).

It looked a nice route when I first spotted it! Scenery wise it's lovely, just a bloomin' pain to try to run on. Best wishes.
