A quick note to tell the world that I completed the final run this morning, covering 5.4k in the 30 mins which is better than this old boy was expecting!
The programme has been a revelation to me and opened up the possibility of other activities I thought I was getting too old to consider. The hard part will be keeping this going, but my son in law has already threatened to drag me out with his running club for park runs when they get going again, so that will help to keep me focused.
The support, experience and anecdotes in the forum have all been really useful, and an inspiration. Thanks to all.
I think I'll consolidate for a couple of weeks and then maybe have a ago at the 10k programme.

Thank you. I had a grumbling knee in week 7 like you but I found the strengthening exercises really helpful and it hasn't bothered me since - I was a bit sceptical but they worked for me. Good luck with the rest of the runs.
