Good for you, getting ready. Just focus on getting outside. Home from work, clothes on, outside. Then turn on the podcasts and you won't be able to help yourself. In the time you could watch a quick TV show, you'll already be starting your running future. Good luck, let us know how it goes. Don't worry about finishing, don't worry about anything but clothes on, outside, podcast on...then let Laura talk you through it!

Yes, just get the kit on and go without thinking about it too hard. You will feel the most amazing, buzzy sense of achievement for having done so. Looking forward to your update!

It might be helpful to change into your running kit at work, so when you get home, it's dump the stuff and get straight out the door. Or have your kit laid out ready for you to change into when you get home.

You have decided to make a change for the better. You have joined this forum, posted your intent to do this and I will be waiting for your post to tell us you did it. We are all here supporting each other and whilst the challenge isn't easy, it is achievable and you can do it.

Look forward to congratulating you on taking the first step to a fitter and healthier lifestyle later :)

You can't chicken out as we know where you live and we'll come round and tip you out the door!

You'll enjoy it. It's only about 30 seconds out of your life, so just do it! Let us know how it goes. It'll make you grin like a mad thing with exhilaration when Laura tells you to stop. You'll be hooked from there on in

Go for it. I'm wk 3 and loving it. I run early in the morning before work so I can't chicken out if I've had a tough day (also there are fewer people about to witness my ungainly progress.) I'm out of the house just before 6am and home and out of the shower with a cup of tea in my hand before 7am. When ever you run, just have fun!

I did that for 3 weeks, what a numpty I was wasting 3 precious weeks when I could have been running. Go for it you will find it hard work BUT what a buzz you will get out of it. Good luck and let us know how you get on. :)

Like nrg_girl says, when you get home from work, change and go. Don't sit down, don't think about what else there is to do. Make a decision that you are going to do this for you and it's top priority when you get home. It only takes half an hour and then you can get on with the other things.

It's very much worth it!

Well done for deciding to start the C25K and welcome to the forum. I agree with everyone here, just get the kit on and go - you will thank yourself for it afterwards. We look forward to seeing your post that you've done it so we can say how well you did. Good luck and best wishes.

Do you know what....I bet you'll be writing here after tonight and loving it!! I try to look upon each session as a treat....it's all working to make me fitter and feel better in myself. I still slather my feet in gorgeous smelling body lotion before the socks go on....even if I'm finding it tough, at least my feet are enjoying it!! Let us know how you get on....

Don't even allow yourself to think about it. JUST DO IT. I find that when it comes to exercising, the less you think about it before you start, the better. Today this happened to me. I wanted to do some exercises, but was feeling quite lazy. Stopped myself questioning it and just got dressed. By the time my trainers were on, all I thought was 'it would be a waste of time to just not do it now...'.
