Managed the 20minute run today. I never thought I would be able to but after reading a lot of comments on here with people saying the same thing I gave it a go. I was really suprised that I was able to run for 20 minutes non stop. Admittedly it was probably not much faster than I could walk but still I did it!

Hi He1enw. Well done on completing the dreaded W5R3. Actually I think you/we all deserve more praise for starting the 20 minute run than for finishing it as running for 20 mins after just 5 weeks seems impossible until you do it doesn't it?
I am just one run ahead of you in the program having just done W6R1. Do NOT to do what I did. W6R1 looks such a doddle after W5R3 that I tried to do the intervals much too fast, barely made it round and felt despondent & stupid afterwards. Reading older posts on this forum it seems I am not alone in getting badly over-confident after W5R3. Take it easy...!
