Nooooo surely it's to early for hayfever

The last two days I have got up with a headache from hell, no I didn't have fun the night before. I think I have hayfever. I vaguely remember this from last year, but I am getting up and out the door a lot faster now. I use a nasal spray as soon as I get up but it takes a good hour to clear my head, I am not a big fan of tablets. Anybody got any advice on what I could do the night before to wake up with a clear head.

It's said that eating local honey will help with hayfever. It has to be local to you though, nothing else will work apparently. It's not a short term fix, it has to be eaten regularly year in year out to build up resistance.

Thanks for the reply. Ive heard that but I wouldn't know where local is as far as bees are concerned I live in london. I know In central london some people have put hives on the top of blocks of flats but I think it's more to so with where they eat than were the hives are, also anything like that in london they seem to charge a fortune for.

In your immediately vicinity, eg streets away. Some local will be making it and it won't be dear. You can usually track it down by popping round the local allotments. Someone there will know who is producing it.

Go to the BBKA web site where you can find your local beekeepers association. Give the secretary a ring and I'm sure they will sort you out.

There is a lot of pollen around now. You will see a lot of catkins out right now and they are wind pollinated plants, so it will be in the air.

My hayfever starts about now too...I always put Olbas Oil on my pillow ( or as a vapour) and vaseline up my nose if very bad, and earplugs. Wear sunglasses all the time like I do ( see pic!!!)- seriously it does make a difference...! Hope you feel better soon x

Earplugs? Strangely enough I have gone out In sunglasses the last two days just because I felt like it. Sometimes you instinctively know what to do. It's a bit like I've started eating beetroot because I wanted to and apparently it's very good for muscle regeneration. I will try the Vaseline. Thanks.
