Gonna go for a run to deal with driving test nerves

I'm gonna go on my second short run of this week (I'm still recovering from a running injury) this morning and also because I have my very first drivng test today! I had a bit of a broken night last night and kept on waking up every few hours due to the nerves. I then woke up at 5AM and couldn't get back to sleep because I was worrying about my test. I'm lying in bed and the nerves are getting the better of me a bit so I'm gonna go for a run to de-stress and to get my mind in a clear space for my driving test today!

Great plan! After your run have a good protein based breakfast - it will help you stay focused as you won’t get hungry. Good luck!

Great thanks for that tip! Any suggestions for a protein based breakfast?

Some eggs if you have them, and on wholemeal bread. Try and avoid sugars, or refined carbs - they’ll make you hungry. So duluxe would be avos on lovely bread with poached eggs. Or a naughty full English (but avoid the beans!).

Great I think I will go for the poached eggs! Thanks for the advice! 😃

Hope I’m not too late to wish you well in your driving test rc41! And well done on going for a stress reducing run beforehand!

Thanks for all the encouragement and tips everyone! I unfortunately didn't pass this time round (dang roundabouts!) but I'm feeling fine about it and just relieved that it's over with now. But I am so glad I went for that run beforehand because it really did help me with my nerves! And now to start thinking about my very first 5K race on Sunday!

You’ll pass the next test. Nerves get the better of most of us when we don’t want them to. Enjoy your running 🏃‍♂️
