Week 2

After finding the 3rd run of week 1 as hard as day 1 I considered repeating this week again before moving on to week 2. However I thought I might as well try as I had nothing to loose, and I'm glad I did as it didn't seem as hard as week 1, and My recovery time seemed shorter as well. Mind you as a pensioner wearing a hoodie jogging at a snails pace I am getting a few odd looks. Really enjoying the fresh air though, lucky the weather here is bright, if cold.

Well done I personally would say you don't need to repeat a run unless you couldn't complete it Some runs will feel better than others often for no apparent reason I never found any of them particularly easy and found the first weeks the hardest But further on in the programme you might find yourself saying ' oh that was hard today ' but you will maybe have run nonstop for 5 mins C25k is all about slow steady progression and if you listen to Laura you will get there Good luck

Sounds like you chose the right option! Well done! I must say that I found week 1 hard, too. Don't worry about speed or what you look like; as you get into C25K all those things start to fade into the background. You'll soon find your general fitness levels improve and you gain such a sense of achievement! Just take it very steady and don't force things as you don't want to damage the old bod! Snails pace is good.

Well done for moving on. I have to say that each run feels hard because you are asking your body to do more and more - but when you look back you will be amazed at what you have achieved. Stick at it and take it slow. You will feel great. Good luck!

Well done for looking forward! At every step you will probably wonder how you can possibly move onto the next one but you will! The programme works really well so trust it and take it steady. Good luck! :-)

Thanks for your support everyone, it definitely makes me feel I can do it.

This is my second attempt at C25K and previously I always repeated a week before going on to the next. This time I shall go on to the next without repeating a week unless I really need to. Thank you for the inspiration and good luck with the rest of the programme. Best wishes.

i am starting week 5 tomorrow. never thought i would get there but life is still full of surprises eh??? I try on my rest days to complete a DVD which consists of power walking on the spot and is divided into 1,2 and 3 mile parts. Tonight when i did the 1 mile section i hardly broke a sweat, so all this exercise is really having a positive effect on my body and mind, i am getting fitter all the time and my confidence is rising as each week passes. You carry on and you will see the changes which i am sure will be for the good. Good luck in your quest.

I had a slight delay to my progress due to a nasty virus which delayed me by a few days. However I will be doing run 1 of week 4 tomorrow. The daily blog posts are really inspiring and it's lovely to realise there are many of us out there.
