New Year's Eve 5k!

Bad news first: I've put on around 4 pounds since the end of November - boo! BUT considering the large (huge actually) amount of food I've had and the reduced amount of exercise I've done in the last week, I don't think that's too bad.

Now the good news: for my final run of 2013, I did a WHOLE 30 minutes - woohoo!!! And I did just over 5k in 42 minutes in total, which is roughly 3 minutes quicker than my Xmas Day 5k workout. I am chuffed to bits that I've managed to end the year with a decent run and I cannot tell you how much my confidence has been boosted.

I admit that I'll be glad to see the back of 2013 and I am determined to carry on with my running in 2014. I'm aiming to lose another stone or two in the next 12 months (I lost over a stone in 2013) so I'll have to get my butt in gear I think.

So I'll end by saying that I wish you all a Happy New Year and let's make 2014 one to remember!!!

XXX Jana
