W6R3 finished. 2/3rds of the way through now- I cant believe it. Looking back at the 1st few weeks the thought of trying to run for 25 minutes terrified me, but I did it and more to the point - it wasn't that bad!! - am I setting myself up for bad runs in week 7 even thinking that. I run with a friend and we were both able to talk - even in the last few minutes. I'm very proud of myself and I think my 17 & 15 year olds are as well. Maybe there's life in the old body yet.....
Brilliant - I'm sure everyone feels the same o... - Couch to 5K
Brilliant - I'm sure everyone feels the same on this run. W6R3

It's great when you can impress teenagers isn't it? Well done & in this weather too.
This post has given me such a lot of inspiration and motivation as I prepare to head out on my wk6r3 tomorrow. I am nervous but seeing others posting their success of completing this run gives me a little bit more confidence.
So happy for you, but may I ask how long did it take you to finish these 25 mins? Tomorrow is W6d3 and I'm so scared because I just did 1 mile only in 14 minutes, so I'm not sure how I'm going to do it..Best of luck to you
Looking back at my Runkeeper app for this run it says that I went 4.39km in 36.31mins at a pace of 8.19per km. So its not dissimilar to your pace. Splits were km1-9.58 (includes warm up walk) km2- 7.07, km3 -7.36, km4 -7.28 km5- 11.11 (includes warm down walk). Yesterday i completed week 9 and pace is now about 6.30 per km to 6.50 per km for the running parts. I have not gone faster on purpose, it has just happened as I have got fitter, stronger and lost some weight. Hoping to do the 5k in under 30 in the next month or so. Week one I could hardly walk between the jogs. I do some of my runs with a friend and she is a little slower so we run at her pace. I am 46 and have never been into fitness so am very pleased with what I have been able to do. At the end of the day the aim is to run for 30 minutes without stopping, we all have years to work on our speed if we wish. Good luck.
