I track my runs, I have a garmin, I'm also a bit of a nerd, so I have a super duper, all singing all dancing spreadsheet that the numbers get entered into. Various pivot tables get updated after each run/walk/bike ride. After my walk with Fred this afternoon I updated it and noticed that so far this year I've run 1335 (sorry, I'm downstairs, my data is upstairs and I know it was 133something k so the 5 is a guesstimate) km. This leaves me 165k or thereabouts to reach a nice little target for the year (1500k. Yep, 2000 would be a better, more rounded number but I really don't think that would be achievable). I ran this far in August and October, but not in September or November (August and October were boosted by time off work (school) with summer hols and half term). But with the Christmas holidays coming up I reckon I can do it. I'll let you know....
And the photo is Fred in his post walk position!

Look forward to the results. I'm still learning to play with my Garmin. It makes me a bit competitive (with myself). What have you done to poor Fred- he looks exhausted?
1st 5k done this morning and Fred has done an 11k walk with us this afternoon, he's currently flaked out in front of the fire coz I kicked him off the chair!
Now I want to see my total for the year. Got my Garmin mid January then had a couple of months injury time out. Although the same profession as you found August hard due to lack of routine and trying to catch up with everyone. Going to get my data from upstairs. I'll let you know in a minute.
Really disappointed now - my total is 557k. I suppose I could say that's over 9 months. Must set a higher target for next year. Should do more than 600 by end of this year, maybe 650 with the Christmas hols.
Great total for year to date and good goal for this month. According to Garmin Connect my running total is a couple of hundred kms less than your. I had about 5 weeks off running due to injury, plus when I had the 50km cycle commute to my summer seasonal post I had little energy left for running
Good stirring stuff there for us new graduates to take in. Love the dog by the way. I walk my neighbours dog and I wonder if he might be up for a spot of running. Hmmmm, I'll run it past him. LOL
